Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Kumul, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Your continued use after any updates to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised version.

2. The Service

Kumul is a savings and goal-tracking application that helps you record savings across multiple currencies (TRY, EUR, and USD) and track progress toward a savings goal you define — such as a new computer, a vacation, or an emergency fund. The app also includes a simple income and expense tracker. All entries are made manually; Kumul does not connect to or sync with any bank account or financial institution, and does not provide financial, investment, or banking advice.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Kumul. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement. You may sign in using your Apple or Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Kumul offers optional premium features (including multiple savings goals, detailed analytics, and data export) through an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly. Prices are shown in the app and may vary by country/region and currency, as set by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Your payment method is charged for renewal through your App Store or Google Play account — Kumul does not process payments directly and never has access to your card details.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep premium access until then.
  • All billing, refunds, and payment disputes are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies — we cannot issue refunds directly.
  • Deleting your Kumul account does not cancel an active subscription. You must cancel it separately through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.

5. Your Data

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the financial information you enter into the app. Kumul does not verify the accuracy of your entries and is not responsible for decisions made based on that data.

6. Intellectual Property

Kumul, including its name, logo, design, code, and content, is owned by the developer of Kumul and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the service.

7. Disclaimers

Kumul is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Currency conversion figures shown in the app are for informational and tracking purposes only and do not constitute financial advice; we do not guarantee the accuracy of any exchange rate data.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Kumul will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or financial loss — arising out of or related to your use of Kumul, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 10 if no payment has been made.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer of Kumul from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of Kumul or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Kumul at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Profile > Delete Account. Upon termination, your license to use the app ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Kumul will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Türkiye. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction where mandatory local consumer protection laws apply, those laws are not affected by this clause.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app or by email. Your continued use of Kumul after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
